The BMW 7 Series Review

The BMW 7 Series is also the world?s first car available with a Side View camera system that operates in conjunction with Park Distance Control. The system provides an overview of traffic conditions on the iDrive display so the driver can negotiate a partially obscured junction, leave a car park or drive through a narrow gate with absolute confidence. The BMW 7 Series recently unveiled its offering, the BMW Hydrogen, as its offering in the alternative fuel category. The BMW 7 Series 745i (E65) is potentially an outstandig car, but this executive car has been over-engineered. It adds complexity when simplicity would have worked better.

The BMW 7 Series exemplifies this particular concept”, says Koenders as an explanation of the idea behind the event motto “Never stand still”. The BMW 7 Series enjoyed an extremely successful market launch. At the Annual General Meeting of 7 July 1977, BMW?s Chairman of the Board Eberhard von Kuenheim announced: ?The volume of orders is so unexpectedly high that the Dingolfing plant can barely keep up with production.? The BMW 7 Series is a full sized luxury sedan that was first introduced in 1977. The 4th generation of the 7 series debuted in 2002 with the E65.

The BMW 7 Series service concept starts in the vehicle itself. Condition Based Service (CBS) continuously checks the status of the 7 Series Sedan's individual parts, fluid levels and mileage data and makes this information available to drivers. The BMW 7 Series are luxury sedans that replaced all 'New Six' models in 1977 and became BMW's flagship cars. The 2005 7 Series sedan has a 4.8 liter, 360 horsepower engine and comes as the 750i and the 750Li (the long wheel-base model.) According to Wheels 24, www.wheels24.co.za, the 2005 BMW 7 Series features a new look and updated engine.

Powered by your choice of a new eight- or twelve-cylinder engine, delivering up to 438 horsepower, you?ll be amazed that a car this powerful can be so agile. Power-folding outside mirrors and heated front “comfort” seats are standard across the line. Previously available sport seats were dropped.

Depends on how you look at it. The bulge in the trunk is not nearly so obvious, thanks to redesigned taillamps that better integrate it with the surrounding bodywork, but it's now accented by a chrome strip that wasn't there before. Depending on the engine rpms the car may or maynot exceed 65mph. Seems like the car is straining at times.

Yet a further point is the clear orientation to the customer with his specific wishes and needs. The ongoing process of coordination conducted as a result ensures an efficient mutual exchange of ideas and concepts, the Design Engineering Department acting as the link between the designer, on the one hand, and the engineer, on the other. Yet it produces class-leading figures of 245 hp/180kW and 540Nm of torque, spread from 1,750 rpm to 3,000rpm. The 730D spits 192 g/km of CO2 , sprints to 62mph from naught in 7.2 seconds and tops off at 153 mph. Yet it is light-footed and agile like none other. It offers seemingly limitless resources of muscular power.

Aimed at customers who prefer the characteristics of a petrol-powered BMW six-cylinder engine, the BMW 740i and 740Li are also offered. Using an internationally-acclaimed 2,979cc powerplant, the BMW 740i musters 326hp and 450Nm of torque for rapid yet serene performance.
